We have bought Ugg boots for years and love them. However, I recently purchased the Ugg Ultra Short for my husband who has several pairs. He wore them twice and they came apart at the side seam and the sole. Zappos was fantastic about the return. Received the new pair, looked great on the outside, but the insole was terrible. It was poorly made, extremely thin and looked like they didn't belong in the boots. We happened to have purchased an extra pair of insoles and they were thicker and well made. If we did not have the extra pair, the boots would not have been wearable for how uncomfortable they were. Still think Uggs are great, but hope they will do a better job on quality control.
